Series 7

Series 7 is again inspired by Bauhaus stripe patterns. These pieces show the characteristics of typical Bauhaus posters: structured lines, rhythmic repetition, and striking simplicity to arrive at visually compelling designs. A great task for a 2D plotter.

Series 6

Series 6 is inspired by a vector field in the thesis Mathemathical model of the human eye growth and the development of myopia (near-sightedness) by Alexander Sas. The x-axis is related to the diameter of the eye. The y-axis expresses how strong the lens is.

In case both parameters are equal, the eye has a good sight, hence the diagonal is empty. In case both are not equal, the vector field shows how the eye can grow to improve its sight. The further away from the diagonal, the stronger the required correction, which is emphasized by the darker colors.

Series 1

Series 1 displays the mathematical elegance of vector fields. A collection of brush strokes with constant magnitude and varying direction fills the space.

Each stroke is precisely calculated and flawlessly executed by the robotic painter. All together they evoke a sense of motion and energy.

Series E

Series E is a collection of experimental artworks. We explore many different color combinations, line patterns, curve spacings and the list goes on. Not all of these creations end up having their own series and thus you can find them here. Enjoy.
